Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop

Phillips Family Grocery, a longstanding fixture in downtown Hiseville, was founded in 1960 by the late Clyde and Helen Phillips. For more than six decades, this cherished community establishment has been a pillar of local heritage—growing with each generation while staying true to its roots of quality, service, and family.

The store was first operated by their son, Jim Phillips, before transitioning to his brother, Mike Phillips, in 1999. Under Mike’s leadership, the store underwent a major renovation and expansion in 2003, tripling its size and introducing a hot deli along with several new offerings. Today, Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop remains proudly family-operated through the Phillips Family Holding Group, LLC, managed by Mike’s four children—Tiffani, Kristin, Dusty, and Trevor—who continue the legacy and values instilled by their grandparents.

Our Butcher Shop is renowned for offering top-quality meats, cut and prepared fresh daily by our in-store butchers. We take pride in our full-service grocery, which features trusted national brands, a private label line, and a variety of specialty products that bring value and flavor to your family’s table. Shop the freshest produce and KY Proud selections, browse your favorite frozen entrées and sides, and grab milk from Hiseville-based Legacy Dairy in our dairy department. We also offer a wide selection of health and beauty aid products to meet everyday needs.

In November 2024, we proudly opened Phillips Family Butcher Shop in Glasgow—our first standalone butcher-focused location. This shop was designed with the customer experience in mind, offering an expanded meat selection, fresh seafood, specialty cuts, house-made sausages, premium steaks, and hand-trimmed options prepared daily by our skilled team of butchers. The Glasgow location also features a small produce selection, specialty cheeses, seasonings, marinades, and grab-and-go items, giving customers convenient access to high-quality ingredients for every meal.

In April 2025, we opened our second full-service grocery store in Greensburg, Kentucky. This location brings the same hometown feel and family-focused service our customers know, while offering a modern shopping experience with expanded grocery aisles, a wide variety of fresh produce, a full frozen food department, dairy essentials, and a well-stocked selection of national brands, private label items, and specialty goods. The Greensburg store also includes a full butcher shop, featuring fresh-cut meats prepared daily, and a variety of customer-favorite staples.
