About
We believe that travel is not only about reaching your destination but also about the journey. Long before the establishment of Mammoth Cave National Park, the town of Glasgow Junction (Park City) cooperated with the private owners of Mammoth Cave, Diamond and other caves in the area to share the cave region with travelers. They were all connected by mutual financial interest, family relationships, community, and in 1886 a spur line, the Mammoth Cave Railroad was created. The current nine mile Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail, established in 2007, celebrates that legacy of cooperation and hospitality between Mammoth Cave and Park City.
