Petals, Pints, & Peak Bloom Season!
Petals & Pints arrives on July 11 at Tradewater Brewing Company in Madisonville with a simple promise: flowers, beer, and an evening that feels a lot more satisfying than scrolling through your phone on the couch.
From 6 to 7 p.m., guests will gather with the team from Blossom Hill Flower Farm for a hands-on floral workshop that celebrates Kentucky Grown Cut Flower Month in the most Kentucky way possible. Local blooms take center stage, cold drinks are close at hand, and everyone leaves with something they created themselves.
The workshop is designed for people who love flowers and for people who have never arranged a stem in their lives. Blossom Hill Flower Farm will guide participants through the basics of floral design, including how to choose complementary flowers, balance colors, work with texture, and build a bouquet that looks intentional rather than accidental. The goal isn't perfection. It's learning something new, getting creative, and having fun along the way.
Here in Kentucky, July is prime season for roadside produce stands, farmers markets, and local agriculture. Cut flowers deserve a place in that conversation too. Summer fields are producing some of their brightest blooms of the year, making this workshop a timely reminder that local farms offer far more than fruits and vegetables.
A Night Built Around Local Flavor
Part of the appeal is the setting. Tradewater Brewing Company provides a relaxed backdrop where guests can enjoy a drink while working through their arrangements. Each ticket includes a drink ticket for a first beverage, with additional beer, wine, and draft cocktails available for purchase throughout the evening.
For $69, participants receive:
- 20 to 25 seasonal flower stems
- All bouquet-building supplies
- Guided instruction from Blossom Hill Flower Farm
- One drink ticket
- A finished bouquet to take home
That combination makes Petals & Pints an easy fit for date nights, friends' outings, or anyone looking for a creative break from the usual dinner-and-a-movie routine.
Kentucky Grown and Community Focused
Events like this have become increasingly popular because they connect people directly with local makers and growers. Instead of simply buying flowers, guests get to meet the people behind them and gain a better appreciation for the work that goes into growing seasonal blooms.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience personal and hands-on, so tickets are expected to move quickly. For anyone who enjoys supporting Kentucky agriculture, discovering a new skill, or simply spending an hour surrounded by fresh flowers and good company, Petals & Pints offers a pretty compelling way to spend a summer evening.
