Turn It Up, Somerset!
The 33rd Annual Master Musicians Festival returns to Somerset Community College Festival Field in Somerset on July 17-18, bringing nationally known and emerging artists together for one of Kentucky's signature summer music weekends. Great performances, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere have defined the festival for more than three decades.
Founded and operated by a nonprofit, all-volunteer board, the festival was built around a simple goal: bringing high-quality live music to rural Kentucky. That mission still shapes the event today, creating a lineup that comfortably jumps from bluegrass and Americana to rock, jazz, folk, and blues without feeling like musical whiplash. Every set offers something different, which keeps festivalgoers wandering between stages instead of staying planted in one spot all day.
